HeroQuest Video Games!

You guys may not have noticed, but I love me some HeroQuest. And every now and then I prowl the interwebs for any cool HeroQuest stuff I can find. One of these searches helped me to find evidence that at one time, there was a HeroQuest Nintendo game! This may not be news to you, but I was surprised.

That got me thinking about other possible HeroQuest games, and through some searching on the webs, I found several examples. I actually have one of these HeroQuest games which I downloaded as abandonware, but I can't remember where I got it. If anyone knows, help us out! It's the game that looks like this...

It's actually a lot of fun to play, very much like the original board game. But I had no idea that there were so many different versions of this game, designed for all kinds of different platforms from Atari, to Commodore 64, to Nintendo! Check out how different they all look...

I also hunted down some advertising and packaging images for the video game versions of HeroQuest. Dig it...

And then, I stumbled on to this advertisement (package art?) for a game called HeroQuest II: Legacy of Sorasil. I have never even heard of this! Does this ring any bells to anyone? Any info you guys may have would be cool.

Anyway, no ground-breaking journalism here, I just love finding stuff like this. I think I need to fire up my HeroQuest video game this afternoon and have some fun kicking the snot out of the Lord of Chaos!
